Jacqueline Meredith
biographyJacqueline Meredith has had a passion for painting all of her life. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, she moved to British Columbia and pursued other avenues of life while taking further painting classes and workshops. In 1994 she moved to Salt Spring Island to become a full-time artist.
She took workshops given by local artists, particularly Jack Avison, and off-island artists such as Kiff Holland and Harry Heine. These watercolour artists inspired her to concentrate on this medium. For her latest works she uses many washes of transparent watercolours to create luminous semi-abstract island scenes. where to see or read moreshows: Jacqueline's work can be seen at Gallery 8 where she is represented exclusively.
