Wendy Taylor is a mixed media artist who works in Etching, Painting, Graphics and Tattoo Art.
She studied Graphic Design, Illustration & Fine Arts at Langara College in Vancouver and has also studied Floral Design, Art & Merchandising. She wrote and illustrated the best seller, Sunshine Coast Seafood. Previously, she owned and operated Cottonberries Quilt Shop in White Rock, teaching in White Rock District. Through destiny and adventure, Wendy now lives and works on Salt Spring Island as Owner/ Operator of Monivea Gallery / Boutique Inn B&B.
Capturing images of older and not to be forgotten architectural structures and landscapes in and around Salt Spring Island with her very friendly acrylic/watercolour style, the lines flow and colours blend reminding one of the old saying “art is a poem without words”.
Her heritage has also influenced her style in a very inspirational way and leads her down another path on her journey with her art. Wendy hopes to capture the spirit and beauty of Salt Spring Island in her new series of paintings and etchings called 'Totems in the Forest'. Her signature style enhances the rugged beauty of our West Coast.
Wendyʼs Paintings are held in private & corporate collections around the world. Commissioned works include the BC Lions Society 4 projects; Victoria CRD Collection; and the White Rock Seniors Home Collection. Commissions are Welcomed.
